All of the pictures on this site were photographed by me unless stated otherwise.
Older pictures were taken with my Sony Cybershot DSC-W11 8.1 MP point and shoot camera. Most of the food pictures were taken with a Canon Digital Rebel XTI. I usually use the Canon EF 28-135 mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Standard Zoom Lens. This means very little to me as I’m only am amateur at this photography thing.
Taking pictures of the food I cook started on a whim and now I only seem to want to create food that will photograph well. The Canon camera makes the photography easy. I usually use a tripod and pretty much never use the flash. I normally use auto focus but occasionally will switch to manual focus when the camera doesn’t wish to cooperate. The natural lighting in my apartment’s kitchen is very good in the late afternoon and early evening so that’s when I take most of my pictures. I sincerely hope the lighting is as good in the house I’m moving into by the end of the summer.
